YOOX NET-A-PORTER GROUP invests in digital education, developing the skills necessary for a thriving digital economy, creating a large, diverse talent pool from which our industry and wider communities can prosper.

Our education programmes cover the whole lifecycle of learning: supporting the teaching of digital skills at primary and secondary schools; incubating tech talent in secondary school students and partnering with world-class universities in higher education.

YNAP is a member of the European Commission’s Digital Skills and Jobs Coalition, set up to provide training for digital jobs to 1 million young people by 2020.

IMPERIAL CODE LAB

YOOX NET-A-PORTER GROUP has partnered with Imperial College London, one of the world’s leading universities, to launch the “Imperial CodeLab Powered by YOOX NET-A-PORTER GROUP”, which aims to boost digital skills, particularly among girls, and develop a diverse talent pool of future innovators.
Targeted at children between the ages of 8 and 14, with a particular focus on the West London community, CodeLab introduces children to computer science and looks to tackle the lack of diversity and gender equality within the technology industry.
Classes will take place at the YNAP Tech Hub in White City and Imperial College London.

FONDAZIONE GOLINELLI

In occasion of the Europe Code Week 2017, in October YOOX NET-A-PORTER GROUP and Fondazione Golinelli promoted the Digital Week, a week of free digital activities dedicated to pre, primary and secondary school students. These educational workshops allowed children to explore the digital world, through robotics, visual coding, cryptography, coding, virtual reality and design. Over 1000 students, from 46 classes of Emilia-Romagna’s schools of every order and degree, took part in 10 free activities, thanks to the unique and specific contribution and know-how of YNAP The initiative is part of the collaboration that Fondazione Golinelli and YNAP have started in order to introduce schools to the opportunities that digital offers.

HOUR OF CODE

YOOX NET-A-PORTER GROUP takes part every year in the Hour of Code initiative, the biggest technology learning event worldwide created by the non-profit association Code.org to raise awareness of computer science and teach people the basic skills of computer programming. YNAP is keen to encourage the adoption of digital skills by the younger generation and fully recognises that education is a key driver to achieve this goal.

SDA BOCCONI MAFED

SDA Bocconi and YOOX NET-A-PORTER GROUP partner for digital education, to develop a new course in “Digital Strategy, Marketing and E-Commerce” which will form part of MAFED (Master in Fashion, Experience & Design Management) at SDA Bocconi. The course aims to combine SDA’s experience in education and YNAP’s industry expertise to provide Masters students with the best learning experience for developing the skills needed today for the management of digital strategies in the fashion, luxury and design business. The course will enable students to learn both the strategic aspect and the fundamentals of Digital Marketing, Smart Data, E-commerce, and Customer experience and engagement, as they apply for jobs in the fashion and luxury sectors.
