The Incredible Girls of the Future competition opened to young women aged 16 to 25 in summer 2019, offering the chance to win a bespoke mentoring programme with YOOX NET-A-PORTER GROUP. The competition invited candidates to submit their ideas for an innovative fashion app, harnessing the power of technology to drive sustainable change and create positive impact. We received many inspiring submissions from around the world and are delighted to share information on the three winning projects and young fashion entrepreneurs of the future.
Entrepreneur: Savannah Bradley, North Carolina
Écologie is an eco-conscious fashion app concept focused on educating users around the sustainability benefits of upcycling clothes. Écologie aims to connect users to local shops where they can donate or purchase pre-loved items. Savannah considered features for localised searches across the world for both physical shops and digital store-fronts, to donate and purchase clothing categorised as sustainably recycled, altered and sourced.
