Buying responsibly and sourcing with care
Connecting customers with the joy of luxury and fashion is a commitment made possible through the strong partnerships we nurture across our business. We partner with passionate brands creating desirable long-lasting items, and talented artisans placing conscientious craft at the heart of their work, to provide a high-quality curation of products for our customers.
Occupying a unique position as a connector between our brand partners and our customers, we work to uphold our belief in conscious practices and supply chains that are sustainable for nature and people, through our supplier code of conduct and the publication of sustainable attributes for brands across our dedicated sustainable edits, NET SUSTAIN at NET-A-PORTER and YOOXYGEN at YOOX.
Our global commitments
Fur free: As part of the Fur Free Retailer Program, we adopted a fur free policy back in 2017 and now exclude both sales and promotion of all products made from animal fur across our multi-brand stores. This international effort is supported by the Fur Free Alliance, a coalition of leading animal and environmental protection organisations worldwide, working together to end the exploitation of animals for fur. When we took this step, The PETA Fashion Awards announced YOOX NET-A-PORTER GROUP as the Most Progressive Luxury Retailer in 2017.
Responsible jewellery: As a Group, we are certified by the Responsible Jewellery Council, a leading standard-setting organisation for the entire jewellery and watch supply chain. Through this certification, we assure our customers that all the jewellery and watches we sell are aligned with international best practice, addressing issues such as human rights, labour rights, environmental impact, mining practices, product disclosure among other important topics in the jewellery supply chain.
A dedication to world-class design expertise, specialised artisans and local makers is a shared value held across our Group. It is often reflected in the conscious practices of many of our partners, ensuring quality craftmanship while not compromising on social and environmental responsibility. Our editorial platforms often turn to the stories of incredible artisans within our network, to raise awareness and provide inspiration for our customers across the world.
