Talent Programmes

Our Talent Programmes

People are our number one asset at YOOX NET-A-PORTER. We encourage our teams to invest in their personal development and provide opportunities to develop their skillset and progress their careers.

Interested in developing your career in a culture that values growth and upskilling? Explore our job opportunities on our careers website.

We offer the opportunity to develop and upskill our internal talent across the business via the UK Apprenticeship scheme. Structured development programmes, fully funded by the UK Apprenticeship Levy, have provided many of our employees with recognised qualifications from Management and Leadership to Project Management and Data, as well as professional qualifications such as CIPD and ACCA.

“This programme has transformed me completely. I can see a huge change in the way I approach a problem. I just wanted to take this opportunity to say a massive thank you!”

As well as upskilling, we also use the Apprenticeship scheme to hire exciting new talent. Check out our careers site for any live apprenticeship opportunities.

For our employee population, strategic learning priorities are selected based on the needs of our organisational design and requests in the market. To upskill our leadership population, dedicated programmes were launched to support the ways of working in a matrix organisation. Additionally, a managerial development programme, Manager as a Coach (2022), is run to upskill managers to apply a coaching style in their leadership.

“My coach was incredibly helpful in coaching me to understand how to better manage my own expectations and adapt them to different leaders and relationships.”

Senior Leader Coachee

We are excited to offer coaching to our leadership teams globally. Coaching is one of our priority learning initiatives under leadership development and aims to focus on developing and retaining key talent in our business.

YOOX NET-A-PORTER has historically committed to boosting digital skills, particularly among women and girls, and developing a diverse talent pool of future innovators, in partnership with institutions around the world, including Imperial College London (2017-2020) and Fondazione Golinelli in Bologna.

YOOX NET-A-PORTER’s education programmes have covered the entire lifecycle of learning: supporting the teaching of digital skills at primary and secondary schools, incubating tech talent in secondary school students, and partnering with world-class higher education institutes, including Bocconi University.

“We are very satisfied by the results of the project! The students learned a methodology for market research and category management, which will be hugely beneficial for any future career in e-commerce.”

Pierre, Marketplace Director

These partnerships have resulted in student projects that have supported various strategic elements of the business, such as the launch of new product categories in the marketplace (2021) and market analysis for our Buying organisation (2022).

Have you heard about our Breakfast Club? Throughout the year, our executive team has met with young talent across our global offices. During the breakfast, our CEO and fellow executive team members answer questions and hear directly from colleagues about their experience at YOOX NET-A-PORTER, projects their teams have been working on and opportunities within the business.

“It was such a great opportunity to join the breakfast. It’s not often we get to meet our CEO! There was time for questions and answers in a very informal setting. And it was an honour to showcase our local sweets and traditional breakfast!”

Digital learning is available for all employees through the Academy, our e-learning platform.

  • YOOX NET-A-PORTER’s learning offering has five key learning pillars: Luxury Culture, Client Centricity, Data & Technology, Personal Development, and Innovation. It shortlists over 30,000 courses offered by LinkedIn Learning to support our colleagues in designing their learning paths.
  • More than 200 employees from across our business have taken part in a 3-month pilot journey to test and trial the content offering, providing feedback and building suggestions. The outstanding outcomes have driven the decision to allow whoever wishes to own a LinkedIn Learning license to upskill and grow personally and professionally during their working hours and free time.

“The quality of the courses on our Academy, for example, LinkedIn Learning, is exemplified through engaging features and the opportunity to obtain certificates. I love how I can access courses that are both useful for my daily job and enrich my own interests.”

For all employees, additional digital learning features are available, including the option to obtain professional certificates and accreditations. The wider learning offerings from Richemont is also open to all employees.

Our colleagues, customers, and partners are located worldwide, which means developing language skills is mutually beneficial for your day-to-day job and overall career at YOOX NET-A-PORTER.

“As my team is based in various countries, we run our weekly meetings in English. To keep practicing and learn from mistakes, it’s great to be regularly in touch with a native speaker.”

Marco, SPEEXX class room training participant

Language courses are offered in different packages for three languages: English, Italian and French. Alongside listening, reading, vocabulary, pronunciation, and grammar exercises, virtual group sessions are also available. For an even more enriched experience, a personal coach can provide 1:1 feedback and support to personalise the training plan.
