YOOX partners with Stella Jean to present STELLA JEAN X YOOX: an exclusive capsule collection showcased during Milan Fashion Week, at the brand’s catwalk show, and simultaneously unveiled online, as see-now buy-now, on YOOXYGEN, YOOX’s socially and environmentally responsible destination, from September 21st. The collaboration falls within the projects celebrating YOOXYGEN’s 10th anniversary.
Consistent with the vision and creativity underlying the whole Stella Jean SS20 collection, the STELLA JEAN X YOOX exclusive capsule features the work of the artisans from the Chitral and Kerighar project, who embroidered the poplin’s pockets, totally hand-crafted in Pakistan, which the artisans of Lazio, in Italy, have subsequently incorporated into the items of the capsule.
Multiculturalism applied to Fashion, understood as an instrument of international cooperation: the capsule collection Stella Jean x YOOX is composed of a selection of t-shirts, a dress, skirt and pair of shorts.
Through YOOXYGEN, its socially and environmentally responsible destination, YOOX is presenting, for the first time in history, the work and traditions of this remote local reality to the international audience. A call to action to increase the awareness and empower these communities, which will lead to the creation of employment and self-sustenance for local artisans, through the preservation and sharing of their knowledge.
Stella Jean and YOOX have worked together with the artisans in their reality, for an ethical capsule that combines two excellences: the unique aesthetic of the communities of Kalash, Hunza, Gilgit and that of Italian design and its artisans.
