Launch your career in fashion with The Modern Artisan

June 30, 2023
Net-A-Porter, YOOX NET-A-PORTER

The third edition of The Modern Artisan, YOOX NET-A-PORTER and The Prince’s Foundation pioneering talent programme, is here – and if you’re a UK-based fashion or textiles graduate, you can apply from 30 June 2023 until 30 July 2023 inclusive.

You could be one of six chosen graduates to embark on a one-of-a-kind paid training programme, consisting of three months of immersive design training at the YOOX NET-A-PORTER offices in London, followed by six months of training and manufacturing at Dumfries House, The Prince’s Foundation’s headquarters in Ayrshire, Scotland.

YOOX NET-A-PORTER and The Prince’s Foundation will upskill and mentor you through the process of creating and bringing to market a responsible luxury clothing collection. You’ll also benefit from weekly mentorship sessions from brand and industry partners (previous mentors include Nanushka, Gabriela Hearst and Amy Powney of Mother of Pearl). The final capsule will be sold exclusively on NET-A-PORTER in 2024, with 50% of the products’ RRP donated to The Prince’s Foundation to support them in developing training programmes aimed at sustaining traditional textile skills.

While you should already possess strong sewing skills, the programme will support you in developing advanced skills to transfer bespoke construction techniques to luxury small-batch production methods.
