A planet positive approach and lead innovation ideas are the key themes of the Vogue YOOX Challenge – The Future of Responsible Fashion scouting projects, which has unveiled today the name of the winner of the second edition.
After the launch of the collaboration created with the winner of the first edition, 8 by YOOX powered by Saltyco, available exclusively on YOOX, the e-commerce and Vogue Italia are happy to announce the winner of the second edition: Orange Fiber.
Orange Fiber is an Italian company that has patented and produces sustainable fabrics from citrus fruit by-products. Established in Catania in 2014, it creates high quality fabrics for the fashion-luxury sector. The process starts from the by-products that the citrus processing industry produces annually — the disposal of which has high costs both for the citrus juice industry as well as for the environment. Orange Fiber has established a fully traced and transparent supply chain to transform this by-product into the perfect ingredient for conscious designers.
This innovative and sustainable fashion initiative earns €50,000 and a special tutoring to help Orange Fiber carry out their ambitious and highly innovative fashion project.
