21 March 2018 – MR PORTER, the award-winning online destination for men’s style, is pleased to partner with leading watch brand Bell & Ross to release one exclusive version of six new limited-edition BR-X1 Skeleton Tourbillon Sapphire watches, debuting today at Baselworld 2018.
MR PORTER is the only retailer of the Blue version of the BR-X1 Skeleton Tourbillon Sapphire – the only one in the world – where parts of the watch, including the dial, the main plate, hour and minute hands, screws, the bridges and flying tourbillon cage have a unique deep-blue finish. The full case is cut out of five blocks of sapphire and it takes several days to produce the components for this single watch. Housed within the full sapphire case is a hand-wound skeleton flying-tourbillon movement, manufactured in-house by Bell & Ross, which, when brought together on the translucent rubber strap, showcases a unique “floating” look upon the wrist.
This ground-breaking timepiece will be the most expensive item available to purchase on
MR PORTER in its seven-year history.
